AKELA Group is a multi-disciplinary UK construction services company providing civil engineering, construction, ground engineering, development and training solutions to the private and public sector. Headquartered in Glasgow with offices throughout the UK and over 250 employees.
AKELA Construction Limited, our civil engineering and construction business, is the principal subsidiary. All Group companies complement each other’s activities allowing the Group to be a ‘one stop shop’ to undertake and deliver projects from inception through to completion whilst having ownership over every aspect of the works.
AKELA continues to enhance its profile and reputation in key sectors including Energy, Civil Engineering and Residential. We continue to innovate and invest in our plant, equipment, technologies and people to ensure we are always at the forefront of product delivery for all our customers.

AKELA Plant is a specialist division within the AKELA Group, responsible for delivering high-quality plant and transport solutions that support construction, civil engineering and groundworks operations across Scotland. The company owns, operates and maintains its own modern fleet, ensuring reliability and reduced carbon emissions, along with full control over equipment availability and performance on every project.
The fleet includes a wide range of equipment fundamental to construction delivery, such as tracked excavators, dumpers, crushing and screening plant, and a fleet of lorries. Through in-house management, AKELA Plant provides dependable support to the Group’s construction and ground engineering divisions, helping streamline site operations and minimise downtime.
